Earlier this month, the school were busily engaged with the Usborne Readathon, reading/listening as much as possible over the period of a week to raise money for school books.
This afternoon saw the grand prize-giving in assembly, with children receiving prizes for raising £10+ or £25+ in sponsorship money. There was also a special prize from Usborne for Abi Edwards who managed to raise an astonishing £112 in sponsorship on her own! Y2 were the class that raised the most as a cohort, with over £500 raised between the children.
Well done to everyone who participated and contributed to the staggering £2700 we raised in sponsonship; to those who received prizes in this afternoon’s assembly and to Abi Edwards for a phenomenal amount of fundraising!
Huge thanks also to Vicky Brown (a parent of two children in school) who organised all this via Usborne.
