Being the best we can be

About Us

Levendale Primary School is located in Yarm, Stockton on Tees. We are an established co-educational school for boys and girls between the ages of 3+ and 11+. The Nursery class, attached to the school, accomodates 52 children on a part time basis. At Levendale, we aim to provide a happy, safe, secure, stimulating, co-operative and challenging environment in which children can develop respect and concern for others whilst making full use of the opportunity to explore and develop their own potential. The school aims to provide a broad and balanced curriculum, which, whilst equipping children with all the essential skills in reading, writing and mathematics, also offers a much wider experience. We recognise that every child is an individual and as such we aim to ensure equality of opportunity across a range of educational experiences. We aim to provide opportunities for high achievement and personal success for all.

Our fundamental principles are:

Levendale is an inclusive school: we value, seek to understand and identify potential in everyone. We encourage everyone in our school family to engage in the life of the school and wider community. Levendale promotes core values which include: the principles of British democracy; the rule of law; individual liberty alongside respect for, and tolerance of, different faiths and beliefs. We appreciate and celebrate diversity (reflecting all protected characteristics and social classes). We promote rights and accept that with these rights comes responsibility. Valuing our cultural heritage, we explore our local, regional and national British history, learning from history and taking pride in the positive contributions that are made.
